Okay, we'll back up by saying that birds need to adapt in the late winter-early spring seasons while searching for food. They may experience temperature changes due to migration paths; and they may see less seed sources during this time period. However, in the heart of spring, birds do just fine eating all sorts of insects, black sunflower seeds, pinhead oatmeal, raisins and currants, mealworms, waxworms, and much more.
It may be a sweet gesture to feed birds; but like other types of wildlife, and even homeless cats, they come back for more. Birds will devour fruits on bushes and in home gardens during the upcoming months ahead if bird feeders are not set out. Then, bird netting will need to be draped over plants to reduce the sight of birds on properties. Such a simple act of kindness can turn into a real headache for homeowners.
Set out bird feeders away from home gardens, if you wish to feed birds - but be prepared to see a rise in bird movement.
